Was this site built on the Weblite theme?
Yes, we thought it would be great for you to see what it could like like, so we have built this site to demonstrate how they can look; also we have displayed a few others in our portfolio. You will be able to see the flexibility of the websites and also how they can be built on. They all started as Weblite projects. Every website is individually designed and unique to them.
How quickly can it be built?
We aim to build your new website within one month of the deposit being paid. Sometimes timings don’t always allow for this, for instance if a key player is on annual leave or sick, photos can’t be sourced in that time, or you are making changes behind the scene that will influence the timeline. Communication is key here.
What do I get for a basic Weblite website?
● Five website pages to include the Home page, About, Blog/News section and one other of your choice along with the standard Contact Us page.● Help with writing 5 pages of web copy● Basic assistance with the initial SEO for your new website. ● One year free hosting● SSL Certificate to ensure your site is secure● A website as eye catching as this one!
Optional EXTRAs:● One hour’s training on how to learn how to update the site yourself is an optional extra● We can help you with a more in-depth SEO package, if required, and offer we this as an optional extra. Let us know if this is something you would like and we’ll discuss what you will likely need.
What do I have to do?
Whilst we can help write the copy, we will need to talk to you to get the information. We will need to know and understand what you would like the site to look like; it would help if you have pictures or ideas of the type of imagery you would like, or you show us sites you particularly like or dislike.
When do I have to make payments?
We will send you a quote for the work that we have agreed with you. We then ask that you to pay 50% as a down payment and we will begin the work as soon as we receive this. Whilst the work is being undertaken by both companies, your contract will be with either Somerset Web Services or White Knight Marketing and one or other will project manage the process. You will always know who is lead on your project.
Are there any other costs involved?
There are annual hosting costs after the first year of circa £100 which pays for back-ups, site hosting and maintenance. Hosting is free for the first year. Any copy changes required will be billed at an hourly rate - please enquire for details.
How will I know how well my site is performing?
We believe that it is vital to know how well your site is doing so we automatically install Google analytics for you and show you how to access the information.
The other thing we will do is add a Cookie Compliance statement to cover you legally for the use of this cookie on your site. You will need to give us your privacy policy for inclusion on the site to cover you for GDPR.
Search Engine Optimisation
Whilst we are uploading your new copy to the website we will optimise that content to the agreed list of keywords that we have discussed. This will give you a head start in helping the search engines know you are here. We will also automatically upload that information to Google to ask it to come and visit your site. Whilst that may still take some weeks, at least you will know that this has been undertaken.
Once you have this initial work done, it is important to remember that you will only begin achieving really good results if you keep your content up to date, interesting and engaging; you will need to add fresh copy to keep the search engines visiting your site regularly. Additional SEO work will be beneficial at a later stage, as this is initial work only.
